Acoording to Paul Vojta, this is what should be done. (I think that special.pro should be
avoided, because there are differences between dvips' special.pro and xdvik's
psheader.txt). There should be a first pass through the dvi file to collect header= and !
specials, which are to be sent to gs (Paul says that's what dvips do; in any cases, xdvik
should do the same as dvips, i.e. if it send all ! specials at the start, then do that, and too
bad for the guy who sent two ! specials defining the same proc with different behaviours).
I'll try to do that as soon as I get some free time. If you do it meanwhile, you're welcome...
